The Word of God is 'spirit and life'

'Good Passage'
Daily Email Devotionals

Hi! My name is Reinhard. I am starting a daily email
devotional. Each day a short passage from the Bible
will be shared.

A favorite is Psalm 23:6
'Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the
days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the
LORD for ever.'

As Jesus is the Lord of our life, we have goodness and
mercy following us. We choose to dwell in God's
house.

God bless you richly,

Hello friend,

John 15:3-7
3 "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
4 "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
5 "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
6 "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
(NKJ)

Verse 7 is a strong promise. The promise is uneqivocal. I can look back in my life where God has wondrously answered specific prayer. Each can choose to abide in Jesus Christ and let His Word abide in us.

God bless you richly,

Hello Friends,

Happy 4th of July! With all the fireworks, here's a good verse about stars:

Dan 12:3 'And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever'.

In the kingdom of God, there are some things we can never earn. Jesus Christ paid for our salvation, healing and peace on the cross.

At the same time, there are rewards up in heaven. Let us each do our part with God's help in living right. Then let us help others to be 'right' through Jesus Christ.

Hello friends,

Greetings in the wonderful and mighty Name of Jesus! In every situation of
Life we can rejoice in the Lord. We can choose to praise God. And God supernaturally fills us with His joy! The joy of the Lord is our strength.

Neh 8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

God bless you richly!

Hello friends,

Greetings! Thanks to all those sharing the Word back with me. We had mentioned Nehemiah 8:10 with the memorable phrase: 'the joy of the Lord is my strength'.

Will shared the excellent verse:

Ps 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

We draw near to God and God draws near to us. Here's another great passage to read out loud:

Ps 100:1-5
1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

God bless you richly. If you know anyone who would like to be added to this list, they can subscribe or unsubscribe at http://great_peace.homestead.com

This last Sunday in class we started the book of Luke. Here are some profound Passages:

Luke 1:
37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
50 And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.

The phrase, 'be it unto me according to thy word', is one we can say over our own lives. We can read God's Word and see God's will for our life. We can speak God's Word over our lives.

Greetings!

Phil 3:12-14
12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.
13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,
14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
(NKJ)

Good passage to keep in mind. As Christians, we are walking by faith and not by sight. As a good runner in a race, we aren't spending valuable running time looking over our shoulder or in the rear view mirror. We are pressing on, looking to Jesus. As one song says, 'I've come too far to turn back now.'

Hi friends,

This morning was reading in Psalms. They are easy to read and a great boost. God's Word is 'spirit and life'. Here's a favorite from Psalm 1:

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

If a person was looking to be blessed, the answer is there.
..... to be fruitful, the answer is there.
..... to be healthy, the answer is there.
..... to prosper, the answer is there.
As a footnote, in the Old Testament when it talks about law, its talking about the Word of God.
